Donuts with Lacrima wine and Mei Gui Hua Herbal Tea
- 750 gr flour
- 250 gr oil
- 125 gr Lacrima di Morro d'Alba red wine
- 125 gr infuse of Mei Gui Hua Herbal Tea (1 table spoon of Mei Gui Hua for about 125ml water - leave steeping for about 10 minutes with water at 95°C)
- 225 gr sugar
- 25 gr baking powder
- 4 gr salt
- pepper qs
- Mei Gui Hua Herbal Tea chopped petals qs
- Caster sugar qs
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl then place the resulting paste on a pastry board and finish kneading. You have to obtain an homogeneous mixture.
Now add some Mei Gui Hua Herbal Tea chopped petals and mix again.
Roll the paste in thiny slices long about 10-15 cm and give them the typical donuts shape.
Place them on a baking tray and sprinkle with some sugar just before putting in the oven.
Bake at 180° for about 10-15 minutes, they should have a golden-like colour.
